FAQ
EnviAir – Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about cooling, maintenance, and indoor air quality in one elegant, responsive section.
How often should I service my EnviAir AC?
For optimal performance and energy efficiency, we recommend a professional tune‑up once a
year, ideally before peak summer. Regular maintenance keeps coils clean, refrigerant levels
correct, and avoids surprise breakdowns.
Do EnviAir units use eco‑friendly refrigerants?
Yes. Our latest models use lower‑GWP refrigerants and are designed to minimize leakage. Always have a
certified technician handle refrigerant service.
What warranty does EnviAir provide?
Standard coverage includes 1 year on parts and 5 years on the
compressor. Extended plans are available through our partner network.
What refrigerant do EnviAir systems use?
All EnviAir air conditioning units use R32 refrigerant, which is chlorine-free and more
environmentally friendly.
Can EnviAir systems be installed by end users?
No. Installation, relocation, or maintenance must only be performed by qualified professionals. Users
attempting self-installation or repair risk serious damage, personal injury, or death, and doing so voids
manufacturer responsibility.
What is the operating temperature range?
- Cooling: 64.4°F–89.6°F (18°C–32°C) indoor, -22°F–118°F (-30°C–48°C) outdoor.
- Heating: 50°F–80.6°F (10°C–27°C) indoor, -22°F–75°F (-30°C–24°C) outdoor.
What power supply is required?
Most systems operate on 208/230V, 60Hz. Installation must comply with NEC and CEC wiring
regulations.
Are circuit breakers required?
Yes. EnviAir systems require a dedicated circuit breaker with magnetic and thermal protection. Fuses alone
are not sufficient.
How often should filters be maintained?
Air handler and IDU filters should be checked and cleaned/replaced regularly (typically seasonally or when
dirty). Minimum filter sizes are listed per model.
What does the refrigerant sensor do?
It detects R32 leaks and triggers safety shutdown. If damaged, it must be replaced with a
manufacturer-approved sensor. Service life: 15 years.
What is the minimum room area required for operation?
Depends on refrigerant charge. For example, 3.0 kg charge requires at least 9.2 m² (99 ft²) room area.
Can I operate the unit without grounding?
No. Units must be permanently grounded. Improper grounding risks electrical shock or fire.
What maintenance should be done before seasonal use?
- Inspect and clean drain pipes.
- Check power supply.
- Verify no refrigerant leakage.
- Clean filters.
What should be done before turning the unit on after a long period of disuse?
If the system has not been used for a long time, power should be reconnected in advance to allow the
refrigerant and lubricant to preheat. This ensures reliable operation when restarted.
Are EnviAir outdoor units weather-resistant?
Yes, outdoor units are designed for external installation, but must follow installation clearance and
ventilation requirements.
Can multiple indoor units connect to one outdoor unit?
Yes, EnviAir multi-zone systems allow multiple IDUs connected to one ODU. Piping and wiring must match
exactly by unit ID.
How is refrigerant leak detection handled during installation?
All joints and piping must undergo pressure and vacuum testing before charging. Leak detection is
mandatory after installation.
Who should install or repair EnviAir units?
Only qualified professionals. End-users must not attempt to install or repair units to avoid hazards and
voiding warranty.
